TENNIS 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Tennis
In this book, I aim to cover the essential topics and information for beginner tennis players, including the rules, strategies, scoring, timing, and etiquette. I added specific constraints to ensure a cohesive and focused book, limiting the typefaces and color palette to tennis-themed options. With these constraints, I was able to concentrate on the written content, layout, and graphics of the book, while also considering practical concerns such as budget and timing for physical production.
In addition, I delve into the interplay between typographic rules and deconstructed designs, conduct an exploration of typographic composition using patterns, textures, and rhythms that utilize typographic movements in two- and three-dimensional space, utilize contemporary typefaces as expressive elements and develop my skills in building a narrative through the serial medium of a book.
